Chewie Co is a 61-year-old ink artist based in Italy who works in an engraving-inspired style rooted in his lifelong love of illustration. At 55, after losing his job, his daughter encouraged him to return to art, and he picked up an ink pen - rediscovering the joy he had once felt and beginning a new creative chapter. Entirely self-taught, he now draws almost daily, fascinated by nature, history, ships, and space, and often researching the background of each subject before bringing it to life on paper. Inspired by artists such as Gustave Doré, Édouard Riou, and Claude Joseph Vernet, his intricate work blends old-world detail with fresh curiosity.
