Born in Naples, Italy, and now based in London, Giacomina Ferrillo is an Italian watercolor and ink artist whose work captures the quiet poetry of nature. Her lifelong love of art began as a child exploring the grand halls of Neapolitan museums, where masterpieces by Caravaggio and Titian first sparked her imagination.
Trained in scenography and children’s book illustration, Giacomina eventually found her true voice in botanical art - where precision meets storytelling. Her delicate compositions balance scientific detail with graceful expression, celebrating the wonder of the natural world.
For her Dandillie collaboration, Giacomina created Pratolina Go to Sleep, a tender watercolor inspired by the wild daisies of her childhood and her father’s nickname for her, “Pratolina.” Tiny ladybugs dance through the scene, symbols of good luck and childhood joy, weaving together nostalgia, nature, and love.
