Jen Sweeney, founder of J Sweeney Designs, grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where her love for both art and the medical field began early. After a 30-year career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she “retired” in 2020 to follow her passion for watercolor, calligraphy, and her signature wedge brush florals, teaching thousands of students worldwide. Inspired by her father, a WWII veteran and lifelong graphic artist, Jen carries forward his creative legacy through her muted palette and elegant, nature-inspired designs that evoke calmness, simplicity, and beauty. When she’s not painting or teaching, Jen enjoys road cycling with her husband, antique hunting, sipping vanilla lattes, and cherishing time with their five grandchildren.
